To the pig tails and braces,
the one with the wide eyes burrowed inside rabbit holes of words and punctuations, this is to remind you of the dreams you're going to make come true one day.
They might tell you that you're smart as a pacifying response to your queries of being pretty, they might console you with words of kindness about going through a growth spurt and that you'll "fill out" eventually, but I'm here to remind you that while beauty is in the eye of the beholder, elegance never goes out of style.
Years on in your future they'll scare you with words like "unemployment" and "inexperience" and even drop subtle hints about you living with your head in the clouds and of you not living in the real world, while I'll remind you of the years of hardship you've pulled through from homelessness to depression.
Somewhere in-between finding your safe haven within the flattened sheets of inked wood pulp and looking over those clouds, you would've come across the murky haze of reality where the good and the bad look very much alike; So much so that fears of failure and making the wrong move will paralyze you. But know that in your heart, the universe exists, swiftly and quietly working it's magic to keep you company along the way.
If in case, you feel lost and lousy and find yourself stuck in a rut, close your eyes and let the universe decide, somehow you'll always find love by your side.
